DESCRIPTION:Bob Henrickson and Justin Evertson from the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum will bring pollinator-friendly grasses\, wildflowers and shrubs for CAV volunteers to add to the CSC living fence which runs parallel to 10th Street. CSC horticulturist Lucinda Mays said additional new plantings along the cross country trail will serve as a guide for spectators who want to watch the competition from 10th Street.\n\nCAV volunteers will complete preparation work before planting such as removing smooth brome grass and developing good topsoil by combining compost with existing soil and grass clippings.\n\nPlease wear long slacks and closed-toe shoes\, bring water\, sunscreen\, a hat\, gloves and trowels if possible. Please park in the Andrews Hall parking lot. Families and friends are welcome.
