Flint Knapping Demonstration
The program, Knapp Time: Changes in Stone, will explore how people throughout history used flint knapping to shape raw materials into stone tools. Flint knapping is an ancient art used to make stone tools or wePark Rangers from the Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands, Hudson-Meng Education and Research Center will host an interpretive program. The talk will be at Chadron State Park in the picnic shelter next to the pond.apons. GeoCorps Intern, Joshua Wynn will do a flint knapping demonstration to highlight different techniques and how tools have changed throughout history in various cultures.The Ranger Interpretive Talk programs are free of charge, however permits are required to enter Nebraska State Parks, and can be purchase at the ChadronState Park front desk.
